20世纪，中西比较诗学大家叶维廉在其《中国诗学》一书中，以比较诗学的视野、天人合一的哲学观、充满诗意的语言、接近历史整体性的态度勾勒出中国诗学的形象，展示了中国诗学的内蕴，凸显了中国诗学的特质。叶维廉眼中中国诗学的“诗性智慧”表征于三个方面：先感后思、情理交融的诗性风格，无知、空白的诗性语言，秘响、旁通的诗性意韵。无论是从风格、语言还是意韵来看，诗性都无疑是中国美学最大的症候，在此意义上，中国智慧也就是“诗性智慧”。

Ye Weilian is a master of Chinese and Western comparative poetics. In the bookChinese Poetics,he outlines the image of Chinese poetics with the vision of comparative poetics, the philosophy of harmony between man and nature, poetic language, and an attitude close to historical integrity, shows the inner meaning of Chinese poetics and highlights the characteristics of Chinese poetics. Ye Weilian believes that the poetic characteristics of Chinese poetics include three aspects: a poetic style of thinking before feeling, blending of emotion and reason; poetic language of ignorance and blankness; poetic rhyme of secret sound and bypass.Whether in terms of style, language or rhyme, poetry is undoubtedly the biggest symptom of Chinese aesthetics. In this sense, Chinese wisdom is also poetic wisdom.
