大学建筑是大学的标识。大学建筑并非随意建之,其建设要遵循一定的理性。否则,它算不上真正的大学建筑,而只是在大学里的建筑品而已。大学建筑要把充分满足教学需要作为要务;要把学术性作为标识,区分于其他非大学建筑;要有自我特色,形成独特风格;要体现历史感和文化性,释放大学的场所精神。在大学建筑的建、拆、翻新时应处理好拓新与守旧、简单与复杂、开放与封闭等几对矛盾,使大学建筑彰显大学的场所精神,奠定成就卓越大学的基础。

University architecture is the university's identity. University architecture is not built optionally,it should follow certain criterion. Otherwise,it is not the true university architecture,and just building products. University architecture should fully meet the needs of the teaching as the priority,and take the academic as a logo. The buildings should have self-characteristic,reflect the sense of history and culture,releasing the "place spirit" of the university. In the university architecture's building,demolition and renovation,the contradictions between the new and old,the simple and complex,and the open and closed need to be well settled in order to make the university buildings reveal the "place spirit" and create foundation to achieve excellence.
