思想斗争是毛泽东意识形态思想中最核心的内容。毛泽东认为,阶级和阶级矛盾的存在是思想斗争的物质基础,思想斗争是发展的必然,是完成革命和建设任务的需要;思想斗争的性质是阶级斗争;思想斗争的主题经历了一个从反对主观主义到反对修正主义的过程;思想斗争是和彻底革命论紧密联系在一起的,从理论上说,是意识形态问题导致毛泽东形成了彻底革命论,进而形成了无产阶级下继续革命的理论。思想斗争曾在新民主主义革命中发挥了重要作用,社会主义制度建立后,由于对思想斗争地位抬得过高和对思想斗争主题、对象判断的错误,导致我国意识形态建设走上了曲折道路。

Ideological struggle is the core content in Mao Zedong's ideology thought.Mao held that class and class struggle were a material base for ideological struggle,and that ideological struggle was a necessity of the development of contradiction,and a requirement of the completion of revolution and construction.Ideological struggle was,in nature,a class struggle,undergoing a long process from anti-subjectivism to anti-revisionism,and it was linked with the Complete Revolution Theory.It was the ideological problem that led to formation of the Complete Revolution Theory and then Continuous Revolution under the Proletariat Dictatorship.Ideological struggle played an important role in the New Democratic Revolution,but it led to a twisty road of ideological construction in China because it was over-emphasized and had a wrong judgement on the objects.
