Abstract:Robert Frost is generally considered a nature poet, for in his poems one can often find the locale of New England and external nature. However, his real purpose is to show his great concern for people. In his poems, man ,woman, young and old all suffer from painful loneliness,as if there was a barrier erected among people.Frost puts these figures on the stage of farms and fields and adopts dialogue and monologue in portraying his characters. These poems reflect his philosophy on the relationship of different people——working people, husband and wife and other common people.
