教育公平是人们不懈追求的理想,而教育中的性别不平等是一个世界性的问题,其中女童教育发展的滞后已经成为制约我国教育整体发展的瓶颈之一。我国西部农村女童教育还存在入学率低、辍学率高、受教育机会不均等、学习成绩普遍较差等问题。影响和阻碍我国西部农村女童教育发展的原因包括家庭经济贫困、家长观念陈旧、教育发展滞后等。应通过改善贫困家庭条件,为女童受教育奠定经济基础;提高家长文化素养,为女童受教育提供平等机会;改进学校教学工作,为女童提供高质量的教育等策略来解决我国西部农村女童教育问题。

Education equality is the unremitting pursuit of people;however,the unfairness between males and females becomes a worldwide problem. The retarded development of female children has been one of the bottleneck problems which restricted the overall development in China's education. As for the female children's education in China's western rural areas,there exist problems such as the low entrance rate,high drop-out rate,unfair chances,generally low school record,etc. These are mainly attributed to poor economic supporting,old ideas of parents,retarded education development,etc. Therefore,their domestic poverty should be eradicated to lay economic foundations for female children;their parents' cultural quality be improved to provide equal chances of education for female children;the teaching methods in school be modified to provide high quality education for female children in western countryside.
